2010 Season

2009 World Tour ends - New Season starts

As the 2009 World tour ends and the international riders head for home the Aussies will be celebrating for many months to come after numerous team and individual title wins throughout the tour(separate page will be created soon with all results).

Congratulations and well done our local club member Daniel Thompson for his part in the Australian Senior test match team and his efforts in the individual eliminations and club championship events, 1st Murray Bridge rider ever to compete in the farewell night GB vs Aust drinking test match (GB won a run off/drink off) Throughour the tour you represented your Country and your Club with pride, and made some new friends along the way Well Done.

Also great effort by all our clubs riders that "had a go" in the club championships and club best pairs - Daniel Thompson, Brad Thompson, Keiran Ritter, Josh Ritter, Daniel Randall, Allen Randall, Mark Sheldon, Cliff Lillyman, Dillan Harper.

CONGRATULATIONS to all our riders that raced in the Murraylands vs Sheffield match (our 1st ever match win in a team event) - Murraylands winning the match by 4 points and enjoyed their first ever chance to do victory laps. Admittingly the Sheffield team did not have all their regular team members present and used a mixture of their members and some other England riders and Murraylands had the addition of Lee Aris on their team which overall made both teams evenly balanced and very close racing/points the whole way which makes for exciting racing. but points wise many of the Murraylands riders scored some high points on their own.which is fantastic to see their ability and confidence improving. In 2005 Sheffield won the match.- in 2009 Murraylands wins so that makes 1 all i guess next tour we might have to have another match for best out of  3.

Many photos will be added to gallery soon!!!!

With the tour now over our local season begins with our fortnightly meetings starting Sunday 8th March, and some riders will get ready for the league racing against Findon, Salisbury and Lefevre. In November we will be hosting the Australian Titles among other various championships throughout the season.

THANK YOU to everyone that helped and contributed to getting our club/track ready for the world best pairs and fun day

10 yr Birthday Reunion held 4/11/07

Well what can i say 10 years has come and gone so fast its hard to believe.

Our Birthday Reunion was attended by around 100 people at head count, While the weather let us down by being cold, windy and bit rainy the atmosphere and excitement was just the opposite, the organisers of the day are overall extremely happy with the way the day went, absolutely everybody seemed to enjoy themselves either on the track riding allsorts of bikes or watching them riding the bikes or just catching up with people they havent seen for years.

2 families from Mt Barker that haven't raced for about 4 years came down, 1 person came from Adelaide that hasnt been at the club for about 8 years, 2 families from Salisbury club attended and 2 from Lefevre club, A rider from Melbourne that was passing through after being at the Aus Titles the day before stopped in for a snag off the bbq and some laps of the track, there were some people that helped get our club going in the first place back in 1998, and 11 of those people that have been active volunteers or honorary members since we started were all presented with a certificate and engraved momento to mark the occasion and acknowledge their committment to the club.

Thank you to every person who contributed to planning and setting up the day, every person that did unofficial officials duties on the day and the people that looked after the canteen and bbq. BUT A BIG THANK YOU to every person that braved the cold to come along on the day and help make it a very memorable event.
